The Role

As a Mental Health Champion, you can make a real difference to the lives of your colleagues, working to make mental health a normal topic of conversation, dispelling myths and making it easier for people to seek support.

You will be at the forefront of making it commonplace for people to say “I’m struggling”, “I’m working too much” or “I need support” , without the fear of negative consequences.

Who would make an ideal Mental Health Champion?

We are seeking passionate individuals from across the Mindshare business, with or without experience of mental health problems, and an interest and desire to support others and learn more about mental health.

Training & Support

You will undertake a ½ day training course in how to identify, understand and help a person who may be developing a mental health issue. In the same way as we learn physical first aid, mental health first aid teaches you how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health.

You will also have access to ongoing dedicated professional support, to help you to best help others.

Time Commitment

Outside of the initial ½ day training course, there will also be quarterly 90 min sessions, lead by a mental health expert, in order to offer further support and guidance, that you would be expected to attend.

And of course you’d need to be flexible in your availability to people within the business who call upon your support as a Champion.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 7th April.

Once the Mental Health Champions have been selected, further information will be shared to confirm who they are and how to go about accessing their support.
