Let's Get Physical...your second Work Well Being Takeover, taking place on 7th September

Our focus for this takeover day is all about paying attention to the health of our bodies. We’ll be inspiring you to move more and discover a form of movement that works for you, even if you feel that exercise just ‘isn’t for you’. We’ll also be introducing you to a unique and gentle form of movement Qigong; as well as providing the opportunity to ease muscle aches and pains with a relaxing massage. 

Below you can find out what to look out for and how to get involved - note that some of the experiences require you to sign up in advance, be quick, places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. 

As this is a company event you do not have to make up the time if you are attending any sessions, but you should agree with your line manager first.

with Chevy Rough from BBC documentary 'Mind Over Marathon'

12.30-1.30pm in Cafe Wow

Chevy is a human performance and mindfulness coach. His aim is to inspire us to harness the power of movement, connecting the dots between mind & body.

We all know fitness can lead to a better way of living, not only physically, but mentally, however the hurdles in place can be daunting as we set out on our journey on the road, or in the gym

Within this talk we get to the roots of what kind of mover are we? What fuels us to push too hard, or not move at all? Once we understand how the mind is connected to the body, we truly begin the journey to a longer, healthier relationship with our practice of choice.

Qigong

3-4pm on the Second Floor Roof Garden

An opportunity to clear out mental, emotional and physical cobwebs and open to new possibilities and potential. 

Through the use of  gentle flowing postures and simple movements Qigong teaches us to flow more effortlessly through change and will leave you in a calm state of relaxation before heading back to work.  

No experience necessary. Comfy clothes are a plus!

We invite you to the roof garden anytime between 12.30 - 3pm, to enjoy a mini massage and a warm medicinal mug of Yogi Tea.
