Mastering Emotional Intelligence

 

Teaches skills to develop emotional intelligence such as listening, empathy and communication, enhancing wellbeing and ability to work with others.

Excellent EQ skills lie at the heart of all flourishing relationships, with colleagues, clients, customers and loved ones alike, to say nothing of their crucial role in leadership/management skills and the quality of our own mental health. Yet EQ as a concept can seem a bit elusive or even “woolly”. What is it? Are we born with it? Can we get better at it?

This workshop examines these questions and provides participants a handle with which to understand, practice and improve it. It breaks EQ down into six easily applied competencies and provides the scientific basis for each of these and what happens in the brain.

The workshop moves on to explore the relationship between EQ, stress and organisational growth, and examines the pivotal role of EQ for effective people skills, leadership and team performance. Finally it equips participants with simple ways to make the most of our natural abilities to connect well with others.
