Supporting Working Parents


Provides a toolkit of support to enable working parents to boost resilience and enhance their health and wellbeing.

The true nature of parenting, not the Instagram perfect one, is often characterised by sleeplessness, chaos, noise, overstimulation, thwarted will and a juggling act; as well as deep abiding love, meaning, purpose, connection and joy. Relevant for Mums and Dads of kids of all ages, participants learn a framework of self-care that allows nourishment of ourselves – head, heart and body – in time and energy efficient ways, examining the demands that working parents face and the impact on their health and wellbeing.

Participants leave with tips and tools to help them cope and boost resilience, including sleep, rest, relaxation and breathing, exercise, nutrition, coping skills, social connection, mood boosters, goals and accomplishments, values and purpose, and nature. All of which take little time, energy or expense and help parents manage the unique stresses they face.

Family self-care is also addressed, empowering parents with tools they can teach their children such as mindfulness, growth mindset, healthy expression and management of emotions. Finally the workshop looks at how to support colleagues who are working parents, encouraging an open dialogue and raising awareness of the challenges working parents experience.
