The winter months can bring a host of challenges when it comes to keeping fit and healthy. The cold weather and dark evenings can drive us into hibernation mode, cosily comfort eating and lacking in motivation to stay active.
We’re susceptible to the cold and flu viruses, and then comes December – often a month of gluttony that leaves us feeling heavy and run-down. In this interactive workshop session, you will learn how to balance the celebrations with a sustainably healthy approach, discover how to nourish yourself to boost your immune system and fight off illness, and consider how lifestyle factors can help to support overall health.
This session will be delivered by Adria Wu and Ollie Oshodi. Adria is a Natural Chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu and College of Naturopathic Medicine, she is Founder of Maple&Co and a presenter on Sunday Brunch. Ollie is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach passionate about supporting individuals to make healthier choices, lead more balanced lives and improve overall health and wellbeing.
Release & Restore – Desk-Based Stretches
1st December, 12-1pm
For many of us the majority of our day is spent sat at a desk in front of a computer screen, with limited opportunity for extended periods of physical movement. Over time, the results of this can include muscle aches and tension, poor posture, and a general sense of discomfort.
In this interactive workshop, you will learn a suite of simple yet powerful exercises with energising and calming breathing methods, which can all be performed at your desk – anytime. The exercises will focus on areas in the body in which we frequently hold tension, including shoulders, neck and jaw.
The workshop will be led by Yan, an expert therapist who draws on 20 years of training in Qigong (similar to Tai Chi), Massage and Martial Arts.
You will leave with knowledge of exercises which you can put into practice every day to release tension and achieve a strong, mobile, balanced, aligned and pain free posture.

New Year’s Resolutions and creating goals can be a fun process. We get to dream about the things we want to achieve and how amazing we believe it will feel when we get there. The unfortunate reality is that these goals rarely come to fruition.
This workshop looks at how goal setting and habit formation really should work, covering process goals versus outcome goals, the importance of self-awareness, the compounding of marginal gains, how identity impacts on habits and much more.
This session will be delivered by Chris Sandel, a Coach, NLP Practitioner and Nutritional Therapist. Chris draws on his knowledge of psychology, behaviour, creating happiness, reward systems, decision making – all to better understand why people make the decisions they do, and to support them in making change.
