Working Well Together
A practical, science-based programme to strengthen emotional intelligence, communication and psychological safety at work.
Overview
In fast-paced workplaces, pressure, uncertainty and constant digital distraction don’t just affect individual wellbeing - they affect how teams communicate, collaborate and make decisions.
When pressure rises, teams often experience the same challenges: miscommunication, reactivity, avoidance, reduced trust and a reluctance to speak openly. Over time, these patterns erode psychological safety, weaken culture and limit performance.
This three-part programme develops the emotional and relational capabilities that underpin healthy, high-performing cultures - including self-regulation, clear communication, trust, presence and psychological safety.
Grounded in contemporary psychology and neuroscience, the programme equips participants with practical tools, shared language and everyday working practices they can apply immediately.

Programme Structure:
Each module builds capability at an individual, relational and cultural level, creating a coherent framework for working well together under pressure.
Module 1: Emotional Intelligence at Work
This module establishes the foundations of emotional intelligence, helping participants understand how stress, thoughts and emotions influence behaviour, decision-making and performance at work.
Participants explore:
Self-regulation as a core EQ capability and how it operates in daily working life
Stress responses at work and their impact on focus, judgement and behaviour
Practical tools to work skilfully with thoughts, emotions and internal distraction
Somatic awareness and the brain–body connection
Habits and micro-choices that support steadiness, confidence and sustainable performance
Participants leave with practical regulation tools and greater awareness of how they show up under pressure.
Module 2: Communication and Connection
This module focuses on the emotional intelligence skills that underpin effective communication and teamwork - particularly in moments of uncertainty, difference or challenge.
Participants explore:
Situational awareness and its role in effective communication
Moving beyond judgement and assumption towards curiosity, empathy and listening
Co-regulation and the neuroscience of calm, grounded communication
Clear, intentional communication models for everyday workplace conversations

Practical approaches for breaking unhelpful habits and choosing different responses
Participants develop greater clarity, empathy and confidence in how they communicate and collaborate.
Module 3: Psychological Safety and High-Performing Culture
Psychological safety is a measurable driver of performance, learning, collaboration and retention. This module explores how it is created - or undermined - through everyday behaviours.
Participants explore:
Focused attention and its impact on decision-making and performance
Trust: what it is, how it’s built, and why it matters at work
Moving from blame to learning and progress
Practical approaches to handling mistakes and uncertainty
Power dynamics, presence and personal impact
Integrating emotional intelligence skills to support psychologically safe ways of working
Participants leave with a clearer understanding of their role in shaping culture through everyday actions.
