How to Be Your Own Coach

We often seek guidance from others - managers, mentors, therapists, friends. But what if you had the skills to support yourself with the same steadiness and wisdom? How to Be Your Own Coach teaches you how to turn inward for answers, develop trust in your own judgement, and build the emotional and cognitive tools needed to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

This session reframes coaching not as something done to us, but something we can learn to do for ourselves - anytime, anywhere.

Overview

In this practical, reflective workshop, you’ll explore the foundations of self-coaching and discover how to use your inner dialogue as a powerful tool for awareness, resilience, and intentional action. You’ll learn how to ask yourself high-quality questions, interrupt unhelpful thinking patterns, and replace them with more constructive and supportive ways of relating to yourself.

A key component of this session centres on the nervous system — the control centre that influences how you react under pressure, make decisions, and access your intuition. We’ll explore how your physiological state shapes your mindset, and how grounding practices, breathwork and simple movement techniques can help regulate your nervous system so you can think clearly, stay centred, and respond rather than react.

Participants will leave with a practical, repeatable process they can use whenever they face stress, uncertainty, or moments of self-doubt — enabling them to become their own source of calm, clarity, and direction.
