Thriving in a Digital World

As technology and AI increasingly shape how we work, many people are navigating a mixture of curiosity, uncertainty and pressure to adapt. While digital tools can increase efficiency and capability, they can also raise questions about relevance, confidence and how human skills continue to add value.

In this changing environment, the most effective approach is not to compete with technology, but to work alongside it.

Overview

This session helps participants understand where technology supports productivity and where uniquely human capabilities such as creativity, empathy and judgement remain essential.

We begin by exploring how AI and emerging technologies are influencing the modern workplace, separating common myths from reality and helping participants understand what technology can - and cannot - replace.

Participants will reflect on the emotional and psychological impact that rapid technological change can have on confidence, motivation and identity at work. Through practical exercises, they will identify their own human strengths — including qualities such as creativity, empathy, intuition and collaboration — and consider how these skills create value alongside technology.

The session then introduces practical tools to help participants reframe fear or uncertainty around automation and develop a more confident, growth-oriented mindset. We explore how human insight and AI efficiency can complement each other, strengthening both productivity and decision-making.

Finally, we focus on reconnecting with purpose and personal strengths in a fast-changing environment. Participants will leave with a simple framework for combining human capability with digital tools, helping them approach technological change with greater confidence and curiosity.
