Practical Resilience at Work
Resilience doesn’t need to come from big changes or extra effort. It’s often built through small, consistent actions that help us manage our energy, stay focused, and work well with others.
In busy working environments, having simple, practical ways to reset, connect, and prioritise can make a meaningful difference to how work feels day to day.
This session focuses on how resilience can be strengthened in realistic, sustainable ways - without adding pressure or complexity.
Overview
This 60 minute workshop takes a practical approach to resilience, focusing on how we can manage pressure, maintain focus, and sustain energy throughout the working day.
Participants are introduced to the concept of micro-resilience - simple, everyday behaviours that support wellbeing and performance in the moment.
Using a clear framework of Self, Each Other, and Whole Organisation, the session explores how resilience is shaped through how we work individually and together.
Participants will explore how to:
Maintain focus and manage energy through simple, in-the-moment practices
Strengthen connection and trust through small, everyday behaviours
Understand how team habits and ways of working support resilience
Throughout the session, the emphasis remains on small, daily actions that are immediately usable and easy to sustain. Participants will reflect on which practices fit their role and environment, identifying realistic shifts they can begin the same day.
Participants leave with a small number of realistic actions they can build into their day to support resilience in a sustainable way.

— Participant at Leighton
“Chris was really personable and engaging, putting everyone at ease which I think encouraged some less out spoken members to share. ”
“We all really enjoyed the session with Chris – he was super engaging and kind. It was really interactive and nicely balanced between working in small groups and having open discussions with everyone in the room. He made it feel like a safe space where people could comfortably share their experiences and ideas, talk through solutions, and think about ways to build resilience and be more open with the rest of the team. ”
